Letter from Allan and Anne
Dear friends
This is a brief round e-mail to all our eleven link churches to update you as to where we are in the process of taking up our role as Mission Partners in Uganda, to thank you for your partnership with us, and to check we have the right e-mail contacts for you all.
So, first of all, if you receive this e-mail safely and you are the appropriate person in your church to receive it - great! If, however, you would rather we corresponded with someone else in your church, please pass the e-mail on to them and let us know the right address for future e-mails. In some cases we have the vicar and the mission secretary on this list, which we presume is OK.
We have really enjoyed visiting you all - we met the first link church back in February, and we still have two more to visit in July. Geographically, you spread from Manchester in the north to Surrey in the south, with the main clusters in South Yorkshire and Leicester. As we have gone aorund the churches Sunday by Sunday we have found great variation in culture, style, churchmanship and outward appearance, but the same ministry of support and encouragement that has been such a joy wherever we have gone. Thank you all for your hospitality, and for showing such an interest in what we are doing. We hope we can be a blessing to you in the future as you have been to us already.
We have now finished our period of training, and have been accepted as full Mission Partners with CMS for a period of three years. We are hoping to go to Uganda on 17th August. The first of our link letters should be on its way to you soon, but we just wanted to get in touch with you all now to say a big THANK YOU for your financial and prayer support. We do appreciate it, and thank God for you all.
